1. Prep the Skin
Begin by thoroughly cleansing the skin by using a beauty balm. Follow with moisturizer, lip balm and a hydrating eye cream. Finally, get the skin ready for the makeup application by using a primer all over the face and an eye primer on the eyes.

2. Foundation, Contouring and Highlighting
Apply a foundation color that complements your skin tone. Then, use a darker shade of foundation or concealer (one or two shades darker at most) to contour the top of the forehead where the hairline meets the skin, the temples, the sides of the nose and the tip, the inner eye where the bridge of the nose meets the brow bone, underneath the cheekbones, the indentation above the cupid’s bow and the jawline. Next, apply a lighter concealer (typically a shade lighter than your skin tone to keep it looking natural) underneath the eyes, at the sides of the nostrils, from the forehead to the bridge of the nose, on the center of the chin, on the sides of the mouth, on the cupid’s bow and under the cheek contouring.
The next step is to blend the colors using a foundation brush to harmonize the darker and lighter shades with the initial foundation color. Make sure to use a separate brush to blend the contour and another for your highlights to avoid a muddy look. Also, make sure to move the brush in soft, circular motions for optimal blending. Once it is all seamlessly blended, set the center of the forehead, nose and sides of the nose and chin with a light dusting of translucent powder, so as not to change the color of the foundation.

3. Eyes and Eyebrows
Start by applying a beige eye shadow as a base. Next, apply a warm, matte brown shade to the crease to create definition. This warm brown shade will also serve as what is called a transition color. Basically, a transition color is a shade that helps “transition or blend” your colors from light to dark creating a gradient effect. Then, go back into the lid and apply a light dusting of a shimmery gold eye shadow for a bit of subtle glamour. Lastly, apply a darker, matte brown shade to the outer corners of the eyes.
For the eyebrows, using an angled brush with stiff bristles apply a medium matte brown shade to the brows to fill in any gaps and balance out the shape. to finalize the eyes, apply black liquid liner to the top lash line to create fullness along the lashes and add definition to the eyes. Then, curl the lashes and apply a few generous coats of black waterproof mascara. Using a soft brown eyeliner, line the bottom lash line making sure to blend the line out to create a nice smoky effect. Finally, add a delicate champagne color highlight in the inner corner of the eyes to brighten and freshen up the look.

4. Get the Glow
Complete the eyes with falsies to fill in and compliment the real lashes. Next, using a blush brush apply a peachy-pink, satin finish blush on the apples of the cheeks. Next, apply a matte powder bronzer on the contour areas to re-define the previous contour and then using a separate brush add a subtle golden highlighter to the high points of the face which were formerly highlighted. This creates a beautiful “glow” indicative of healthy skin that radiates from within. Finish the look by lining and filling in the lips with a burgundy lip liner and top the lips off with a creamy burgundy lipstick.
