Spring Fever

Hi guys! We are well into spring– and here in Miami we are already on spring break. I wanted to share a few of my spring break must-haves. Whether I travel or not, these are products that fill up my makeup bag in this season  Most of these are drugstore finds because I wanted give you affordable options. Also, these are true and tested products that are amazing and that really work well. Happy spring! xo

1. Philip Kingsley Swimcap$35– You have heard me talk about this product many times here on the blog and in some magazines. This product is hands downone of the best sun protectors for your hair on the market. Why? because it literally acts like a swimcap for your hair.  This creamy, protecting potion adheres to wet hair and serves as a shield against the horrifying effects of chlorine, saltwater and UV rays. Block these environmental factors known to promote breakage, color fading and dryness by running Swimcap through damp hair *before going swimming* and let this nourishing and protecting fine cream do the rest.

2. Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat$6.50- This is a new fave for me. I have been a OPI, Essie and Deborah Lippmann devotee for years until a friend recommended this top coat. I kid you not when I say this makes your nails look like glass! It is sooo shiny and makes your manicure last super long due to it’s chip-resistant formula. Also, it dries your nails to the touch in about 3 minutes.

3. Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Color in Pink Blink$5.50- The people at Sally Hansen got fast drying right. This nail polish does exactly what it says: it dries in 60 seconds, provides one coat coverage and it contains no DBP, toluene or free formaldehyde. It also comes in a rainbow of colors sure to please. My current fave is Pink Blink, a beautiful, pastel bubble-gum pink perfect for spring!

4. Neutrogena Ultra-Sheer Face and Body Sticks$10.99- Neutrogena®introduces the new ULTRA SHEER® and BEACH DEFENSE®Sunscreen Sticks SPF 70, providing superior sun protection for face and body in a convenient, no-mess stick. The stick never feels sticky or greasy and layers on invisibly—great for on-the-go protection through the day. It is also water and sweat resistant, so it is perfect for working out or hitting the beach. I personally use this before applying my makeup and it glides on flawlessly without getting oily or looking uneven.

5. Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti, $7.49- In the spring, I love beautiful, bright shades that hydrate and don’t overpower my look. I love these lip butters because they give off sheer, yet buildable color that is shiny, but not sticky and ultra hydrating. I gravitate toward these when the weather gets warmer simply because they feel delicious on my lips. This color is absolutely gorgeous if you want to try the on trend orange lip, yet you are a bit afraid of a brighter, bolder orange.

6. Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin BB Cream in Light/Medium$12.99- I love the idea of this productIn a nutshell, the B.B. Cream is a hybrid formula that offers advanced skincare plus immediate skin perfecting coverage in one single beauty product. This is my daily go-to product instead of foundation because of the hydrating and SPF benefits and because it evens out my skin and offers a very light coverage. It is fabulous with a bit of bronzer, mascara and a lip butter.

7. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Antwerp$6– I Like this product because it is neither lipstick nor lip gloss. This is a new kind of lip color that is ultra-lightweight, goes on silky smooth and sets to a matte finish perfect for sunbathing poolside. Soft Matte Lip Cream is very durable and, unlike some matte lipstick formulas, also moisturizing. This color is a lovely yellow-toned, coral pink that will transition beautifully into summer.

There you have it! I hope my go-to products inspire you to switch up your look for spring. 😉
